With the power of Centrex features offered by the Central Office (CO), the Alpha Telecom P-Phone IP Gateway (Arion 2004) provides seamless operation for the Meridian Business Set via the IP (Internet Protocol) network.
The Arion 2004 represents the second in a series of new VoIP Gateways from Alpha Telecom. This IP-based solution joins the ISDN VoIP Gateway (Arion 1004) to meet diverse customer needs and provides voice communications in a high performance IP network.
The Arion 2004 connects directly to the LAN on the network side and continues to provide P-Phone interface to the end user side.
The Arion 2004 is a H.323 standard based device and it is a CPE Gateway suited to providing Centrex IP on a fully integrated IP communications network for service provider and multi-site corporations. It is a high performance and cost effective way to adopt VoIP into existing network of an expanding organization.
The Arion 2004 allows an enterprise to balance user requirements for high functionality with the benefits of streamlined management and reduced facilities costs. For instance users transitioning to new locations are able to move their P-Phone and reconnect to the internal telecommunication network by re-aligning the alias to the Gateway serving that location.
